We are looking for an enthusiastic, relationship-focused worker to join our team and help ensure that care-experienced young people have a strong voice in influencing service development and change.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and coordinate participation activities to ensure care-experienced young people are at the heart of policy development and decision-making.
- Plan and deliver youth work sessions, building positive relationships with young people in a range of settings that are inclusive, accessible and empowering.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Council, particularly within Social Care and Corporate Parenting, to champion and embed high-quality participation and engagement principles that lead to meaningful change and positive outcomes for young people and their families.
- Work within youth work values and principles, taking a young person-led and creative approach. You will work collaboratively within our friendly team while bringing your own initiative, motivation and self-direction.
We are a multi-disciplinary team working across Devon, passionate about ensuring the voices of young people are heard. We foster a supportive and collaborative culture where everyone is encouraged to use their unique skills and strengths while taking ownership of their work. Together, we drive projects forward and strive to achieve the very best outcomes for young people.
