An exciting opportunity has arisen within The Emergency Duty Service (EDS) for a locum Referral Co-Ordinator. The role is to act as the first point of contact in Children’s Social Care and provide information to the public. The role will also support Adult Social Care at peak times of demand. EDS is a fast-paced environment and provides an opportunity for Referral Co-Ordinators to enhance and develop their skills.
We’re a friendly and dynamic team and seek referral co-ordinators who are able to demonstrate the following skills and qualities:
- Provide a positive and consistent service to members of the public who request information and guidance from Social Care.
- Competence in gathering information and recording succinctly.
- Ability to build rapport and support crisis situations.
- Provide information and signpost people to other agencies or sources of help when their needs would be better and more appropriately met elsewhere.
- Capacity to commit to one shift per month. Shifts are Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays 9am-3.30pm and 3.30pm-10pm.
