This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the Tiverton Community Health & Social Care Team as a Team Manager due to the promotion of the post holder.
The Community Health & Social Care Teams manage Devon County Council’s statutory responsibilities in relation to the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and at times the Mental Health Act.
About the Role:
The Team Manager oversees a team of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Social Care Assessors. Ensuring high-quality support for adults with various needs while promoting independence and well-being.
Leadership and Management: As a Team Manager, you will lead and develop the team, providing guidance, support, and regular supervision to ensure effective service delivery.
Service Delivery: You will oversee the delivery of assessments, care planning, and interventions for individuals and families, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.
Collaboration: Promoting collaborative working with multi-agency partners is essential to achieve the best outcomes for service users.
Performance Monitoring: You will monitor and manage team performance, ensuring high-quality service delivery and positive outcomes for individuals.
About you:
You must be a registered Social Worker or Occupational Therapist and have experience or a desire to develop in a Team Manager role.
You will need to demonstrate a detailed knowledge and understanding of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act.
You will have excellent communication skills across all mediums (electronic, written, verbal) with an ability to take account of the audience that is receiving the information. This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
