Please note that the pro rata salary for this role is between £17,294 (C6) and £17,569 (C7) gross per annum (subject to change depending on agreed working pattern on appointment).
This is a fixed term position until 31 August 2027.
Roundswell Community Primary Academy are looking for an outstanding Teaching Assistant who is passionate about inclusion and believes every child deserves to experience success.
This position will be working as part of a team of Teaching Assistants that provide 1:1 support. The child you’ll be supporting will be in Year 5 and is bright, curious, funny and highly capable. They communicate using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and eye-gaze technology and have complex medical needs. While these medical aspects are an important part of the role, they are not what defines it.
The successful candidate will be someone who can build trust, inspire learning, adapt in the moment, advocate for inclusion and help this child thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
Full training will be provided for all medical procedures and specialist equipment.

Experience of any of the following would be welcomed, but full training will be provided:
• Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Cerebral palsy.
• Epilepsy.
• AAC or eye-gaze technology.
• Moving and handling.
• Personal care.
• Tube feeding.
• Working alongside therapists or multi-disciplinary teams.
