We offer:
- A highly supportive and visible team of colleagues who are hardworking, collaborative and committed to young people.
- Bespoke professional development and clear career pathways, including NPQs and the Early Career Framework.
- The opportunity to teach English across the full age and ability range, from Year 7 to Year 13.
- The chance to work with fantastic students in a truly comprehensive setting.
- A beautiful location in the South Hams, offering an exceptional quality of life.

- Demonstrate a strong track record of securing excellent outcomes in English, or show clear potential to do so.
- Be ambitious for students, with high standards and a people-centred approach.
- Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for English that inspires learners.
- Be an effective and confident communicator who is energetic, enthusiastic and enjoys working with young people.
- Bring fresh ideas and creativity, using their love of the subject to engage, enthuse and challenge students.
- Be highly organised and an effective classroom manager, creating a positive learning environment with high expectations through a wide range of up-to-date and successful teaching strategies.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
- Be willing to support enrichment opportunities, including extracurricular activities and residential visits.
- Have the ability to work successfully with students across the full ability range, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis.
