South Molton United C of E are seeking an inspirational Primary School Teacher to join our dedicated school team, teaching in Year 1 for the Summer Term. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about delivering high quality teaching and helping every child achieve their full potential.
About the Role
As a Teacher, you will deliver high quality teaching and learning in line with the Teachers’ Standards.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs.
- Leading by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement.
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target setting.
- Reporting to parents and contributing to school improvement processes.
- Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school.
- Contributing to performance management, training, and whole school initiatives.
- Upholding school values, behaviour expectations and community ethos.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who can bring positivity, professionalism and a strong commitment to children’s learning.
Essential attributes include
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an ECT working towards their QTS.
- Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
- Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of high quality teaching and learning.
- Ability to teach pupils of all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community.
Desirable attributes include
- Experience leading a curriculum area.
- Excellent ICT skills and ability to contribute to policy development.
- Experience teaching across multiple primary key stages.
- Ability to organise extra curricular activities.
