Make a real difference in learners’ and jobseekers’ lives
Are you highly organised, great with people, and passionate about helping others succeed? Learn Devon and the Connect to Work service are looking for a motivated Support Officer to join our friendly team. This is a unique dual role, providing essential administrative and customer-facing support across two services that help adults access learning, develop skills, and move into employment.
Working as part of a supportive team, you’ll:
- Provide exceptional front-line support as the first point of contact for learners, participants, partners and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Keep our services running efficiently by maintaining and improving administrative systems, and supporting bookings, diary management and resource coordination.
- Support Learn Devon by guiding learners through enrolment and helping them access courses and learning opportunities.
- Support the Connect to Work team by producing accurate data reports, organising meetings and service documentation, and assisting with the triage of referrals into the service.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Experience working to deadlines and dealing with the public.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise.
- Effective communication skills across multiple channels.
- Confidence using IT systems and supporting others with basic IT issues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion.
- A proactive, team-focused approach.
You’ll be part of a service that transforms people’s lives—helping adults gain skills, confidence and opportunities. You’ll work with supportive colleagues, enjoy varied and meaningful work, and play an essential role in ensuring our learners and participants have the best possible experience.
