We are looking for a well-organised and self-motivated person to join the Business Support Team and fill this vital role supporting the Independent Safeguarding & Reviewing Officer by minuting Child Protection Conferences within the Quality Assurance, Reviewing & Safeguarding Service (QARSS).
This is one of our business critical, frontline safeguarding services, a key priority for Devon County Council.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend (both physically and virtually) and minute Child Protection meetings, throughout the county.
- Produce high-quality minutes and action plans using a laptop, complying with the required standards regarding format, content and timescale.
- All the general administration that is needed pre- and post-meeting.
- Updating records on both Excel, Teams & in-house database.
- Be flexible and willing to travel throughout Devon to attend meetings.
You will need to have good communication and interpersonal skills, along with being able to quickly respond to changing priorities.
Though you will be allocated meetings each week, these meetings will change and so you have to be ready for the unexpected – no day or week is ever the same.
The post holder may be required to read, process, or manage information that some individuals may find sensitive or distressing. Appropriate support and guidance will be provided.
Alongside this, you also have to:

- Have an understanding of Microsoft Office.
