As Senior Team Manager/ Senior Operational Lead, you will join a team of professionals working together to serve in excess of 650 employers. We provide a high-quality, comprehensive, end-to-end pension administration and pension payroll service for over 200,000 scheme members. Peninsula Pensions is provided by Devon County Council and is a shared service with Somerset Council. As well as looking after the administration needs of employers and scheme members of the LGPS we also administer the Police and Firefighters’ Pension Schemes for Avon & Somerset Constabulary and Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service respectively. Whilst you will be working as part of one team, you will be responsible for your own client tasks & will report to the Digital Transformation & Reconciliation Lead.

Peninsula Pensions Systems Team - Senior Team Manager / Senior Operational Lead x 1 full time
For this role you will be required to:
- Have experience managing and developing staff (including appraisal, performance management, motivational and communication skills) alongside HR policies and procedures in a deadline driven environment
- Have extensive experience within a pension administration function (covering either the LGPS, Police or Firefighter Pension Schemes) including project management; and expert‑level, hands‑on experience with pension calculations and/or pension software & workflow/data
- Fulfil the 'essentials' outlined in the job description.
You will:
- Lead enhancements & co-ordinate both User Acceptance Testing and delivery of new software releases across multiple schemes, focusing on automation, whilst overseeing internal controls in place around individual staff member system access rights, data security and accountability for team IT equipment
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of key outputs including benefit statements, statutory reports, and triennial valuation data; as well as responsibility for maintaining receipt and upload of data with both annual and monthly data interfaces from 500+ diverse employers, to ensure timeliness, data integrity, consistency, and statutory compliance with The Pension Regulator data quality expectations.
Part time working hours will be considered.
