About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Self‑motivated, flexible and highly organised
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines
- Analytical, methodical and confident working with numbers
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Experienced in payroll or a financial environment (essential)
- Familiar with HMRC legislation (beneficial but not essential)
Full training will be provided, and you’ll be supported by knowledgeable colleagues who want to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Input and maintain accurate payroll data within the DCC Payroll & HR Management System (iTrent) to strict deadlines
- Calculate a range of payments including emergency payments, overpayments, sickness and family leave, annual leave, and third‑party adjustments
- Interpret and apply statutory and organisational changes to ensure full compliance
- Handle detailed enquiries by phone, email and letter on topics such as National Insurance, pensions, income tax, salaries and leave calculations
- Run multiple monthly pay cycles, ensuring all associated processes — including BACS and Full Payment Submissions — are completed accurately and on time
