Occupational Therapist
- Exeter, Devon
- Full Time
- £39,959 - £48,117 per annum

Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapist eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults aged 18+ with disabilities? Do you thrive on supporting people to achieve greater independence and reach their personal living goals? Are you seeking a varied, flexible role that allows you to work across Devon as part of a supportive and motivated team? If so, this opportunity could be the perfect fit for you.
Join our Central Supported Living Review Team, a countywide team of social care professionals working across Devon. The team undertakes reviews for adults with disabilities living in a variety of supported living and community settings, with a strong focus on strengths‑based, proportionate, and person‑centred practice.
About The Role
This role sits within the Central Supported Living Review Team and supports the development of the Living Well in Devon programme, particularly within the targeted review workstream.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering holistic, strengths‑based reviews that promote independence and good value outcomes. The role requires specialist skills, or interest, and we are keen to appoint the right person who can bring confidence and expertise to this area of work. Using your knowledge of functional assessment, equipment, adaptations, and technology‑enabled care, you will help identify practical solutions that reduce reliance on formal support, support safe and dignified care, and enable person‑centred outcomes.
Your role will involve working autonomously and alongside social care colleagues to review individuals living in supported living and other settings, and building strong professional relationships with providers. You will assess placement suitability using a strengths-based approach that highlights what each person can achieve.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference and contribute to sustainable, high‑quality care planning. As a countywide team, access to a car and the ability to travel across Devon is essential. We support hybrid working, with opportunities to work from home, alongside regular time spent with colleagues, with an expectation of working from an office base at least once per week.
