The Harbour Schools Partnership are looking to appoint a Network Support Technician Apprentice to work in our IT Services team. The successful candidate will be enrolled on an appropriate IT course of study depending on their qualifications and experience.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Undertake all tasks and learning related to the ICT apprenticeship qualification.
- Observe and work collaboratively with the IT Services Lead and the wider team to gain understanding of best practice.
- Act as a first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests from staff and students.
- Prepare, configure, deploy and support desktops, laptops, tablets, printers, telephones and associated peripherals.
- Complete scheduled housekeeping tasks, including checking alerts, backups, anti-malware status and equipment condition, in accordance with documented procedures.
- Support routine checks of printing, telephony, access control, CCTV and other connected systems where these fall within the IT service remit.
- Provide day-to-day support at the designated secondary school and travel to other Trust schools and external association schools as required.
