We are seeking to recruit a Neighbourhood Highways Technician (NHT) initially on a 9 month secondment with the potential to extend. To be based in Okehampton, but with opportunities to work from home for part of each week.
This is a fantastic secondment opportunity to join the local Neighbourhood Team, with clear development and progression opportunities.
The role is to work within the neighbourhood highway team to recognise local issues and to provide advice and information on highway and traffic management work. Also to provide close support and assist the Neighbourhood Highways officers in their day-to-day duties, dealing with the public, helping design highway improvements and repairs and developing works programmes and working with the Highways Services and Traffic Teams in processing licenses and Temporary Traffic Orders.
