Mealtime Assistant - The Topsham Primary School (United Schools Federation)

The Topsham Primary School is looking for a temporary Mealtime Assistant, to support pupils during the lunchtime period, due to an increase in workload. The position will be a temporary appointment, working 1.5 hours per day, 11.45am to 1.15pm, over five days, term time only.
This is ideally suited to someone who has experience of working with children in a school environment.
You will be required to:
- Supervise and where applicable provide support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their
- safety and access to playtime activities
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interacting with them according to individual needs
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
- Encourage pupils to interact with others and to engage in activities over the lunchtime period
- Promote self-esteem, good behaviour and independence
- Provide feedback where necessary to the Line Manager/Teacher
