An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Legal Proceedings and Penalty Notice Team within the wider Litigation Team. This is a meaningful role that directly supports schools across Devon in improving school attendance and ensuring children receive the education they deserve.
As part of the team, you will assist schools that require legal intervention to address poor attendance. This includes managing and processing legal proceedings related to Penalty Notices issued by Devon County Council, as well as representing the Council at local Magistrates’ Courts.
About you
We are looking for someone who is organised with excellent analytical and communication skills, and committed to helping deliver positive outcomes for children and families.
While a background in law would be beneficial, it is not essential — full training and support will be provided.
