We would like to share a secondment opportunity within the Transformation and Business Support (TBS) Directorate for a LGR Service Support Officer to provide dedicated support to the Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) Programme.
The link to the Job Description is below and will be used as the basis for the role which is currently used within Business Support. Whilst this outlines the generic Service Support Officer role, this opportunity will be focused on supporting the delivery of the LGR programme and its associated workstreams.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Support a high-profile, strategically important programme of work.
- Work closely with programme leads, project teams and stakeholders from across the organisation.
- Provide a range of administrative and coordination support, including meeting organisation, document management, action tracking, and maintaining programme records.
- Gain valuable experience of programme delivery, organisational change and transformation activity.
- Develop a broader understanding of the Local Government Reorganisation agenda and its impact across services.
The successful candidate will be based in the office for a minimum of 4 days per week, ensuring that they are accessible and able to collaborate closely with the team. This is an excellent development opportunity for someone who is organised, adaptable and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
