We are looking for an exceptional KS3 Maths Lead to join our team for January 2027.
Thank you for your interest in joining our school. We are on an exciting journey to become a nationally leading school and are looking for ambitious people who believe that children can succeed no matter what.
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic KS3 Maths Lead to support the development and delivery of an outstanding mathematics curriculum across Key Stage 3. The role will involve working closely with colleagues to ensure high-quality teaching, strong curriculum progression and excellent outcomes for all students. We value potential as much as experience, and this role would be particularly well suited to an ambitious teacher who is early in their career, eager to develop their leadership skills and ready to take the next step in their professional progression. We will provide the support and opportunities needed for the right candidate to thrive in the role.
At Marine Academy Plymouth (MAP), we are driven by a clear and ambitious core belief: every student who joins us has the potential to get to and through university. While we recognise that this may not be the right path for all of our students, we firmly believe that having this option is a hallmark of a successful, high-quality education—one that enables our students to excel in top careers and live their best lives. We combine academic rigor with a joyful learning experience, ensuring our students gain the knowledge, experiences, and support needed to achieve their dreams. We are known for our super high expectations for behaviour and academics, and believe that consistency, politeness and discipline underpins wellbeing and achievement. We also love to foster a joyful, supportive culture. We value strong relationships and recognise student achievements to help them reach their full potential.
We also prioritise staff well-being, offering work-life balance, professional development, and collaboration through the Ted Wragg Trust. We are proud to have nationally recognised for our commitment to staff wellbeing and workload reduction. Benefits of working as a teacher at MAP include:
- Fortnightly ‘Golden PPA’ where teachers can work from home
- No written marking
- Centralised, fully resourced curriculum
- Centralised behaviour system
- Weekly instructional coaching and exceptional ECT support
- Protected time in your timetable to be able to contact parents
- Meetings only take place on a Monday
- Support as part of the Ted Wragg Trust
