Devon-wide, dynamic, progressive, user-led organisation seeks: Independent Mental Capacity Advocate (IMCA)/Paid Representative(PR)
37 hours per week permanent/part time hours will be considered
Exeter office-based with flexibility to work from home a certain number of days a week. Ability to travel across Devon.
The Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) Service is part of the Devon Advocacy Consortium, commissioned by Devon County Council to provide a high quality advocacy service across Devon and Torbay.
We are looking for someone with:
- A good understanding of the principles of advocacy;
- Experience of working with people who have a range of disabilities and communication problems; and
- A good working knowledge in areas of Safeguarding, Mental Capacity, Mental Health or other relevant speciality
Previous advocacy experience is not essential as full accredited IMCA training will be provided.
