About the Trust
The Academies for Character and Excellence is a dynamic and innovative Multi Academy Trust of twenty primary schools across Devon, Torbay and Somerset. Our shared outcomes are rooted in excellence and each school is committed to a strong ethos and culture.
We live our mission of achieving excellence through cultivating character, sharing talents and pursuing innovation. We are truly collaborative and work together within and across our schools to ensure that all children and staff achieve their potential.
We are proud of our outcomes, but we aspire to achieve more than academic excellence. We want our children to become healthy thinkers, curious explorers, caring citizens, knowledgeable participants and confident individuals.
About Stoberry Park Primary School
Stoberry Park Primary School is nestled at the foot of the Mendip Hills. The school is driven by its values of Integrity, Compassion, Creativity, Courage and Curiosity, encouraging pupils to become active learners who are interested in enhancing their own learning and engaging positively with the wider community.
The school is invested in developing its curriculum and has fantastic grounds in which the children have the space to flourish. The team at Stoberry are committed to ensuring that every child thrives and pupils follow a varied and active curriculum designed to build character and the confidence to prepare them for the future.

• Have successful leadership experience within a primary setting, with evidence of positive impact.
• Can inspire, motivate and support colleagues and children to be the best that they can be.
• Have demonstrable experience of effective line management, staff development and building leadership capacity.
• Understand highly effective pedagogy, based on evidence, and can model this for others and support others to improve.
• Are aspirational for disadvantaged children and pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), using evidence-informed strategies to remove barriers and raise outcomes.
• Are committed to ensuring that all children achieve the highest possible outcomes, academically, socially and personally.
• Will work in partnership with colleagues across the Trust, the Local Advocate Board and the wider community to translate the Trust’s mission into action.
We can offer:
• A warm, values-led school community with polite, happy and engaged children who have enthusiasm for learning.
• A committed and enthusiastic staff team, supported by a collaborative Trust structure.
• Bespoke professional development and support from experienced Trust leaders.
• Opportunities to work with like-minded professionals across the Trust through improvement groups and shared practice.
