At Holsworthy Primary School, we are dedicated to providing an engaging, inclusive, and nurturing environment for our pupils. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic foundation subject specialist teacher to work primarily across KS2 teaching an area of expertise.
We are seeking a practitioner with a genuine passion for their subject and a strong commitment to academic excellence. The successful candidate will inspire pupils through high‑quality teaching, deep subject knowledge, and the ability to make learning both challenging and exciting. You will play a key role in raising aspirations, nurturing talent, and fostering a culture where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. If you are driven, reflective, and eager to share your enthusiasm for your specialist area across the school, we would be delighted to hear from you.
We are seeking someone who:
• Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience teaching within KS2 or KS3, with excellent knowledge of one Foundation subject.
• Has strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment based on secure relationships.
• Has a passion for teaching and commitment to improving outcomes for all students.
• Has an ethos based in restorative practice
• Is committed to remaining abreast of advances in research and practice within their chosen subject area.
• Is a team player, treats everyone with kindness and is fully committed to our Christian ethos and school vision: ‘Working together, growing together, all to flourish’.
• Is enthusiastic and highly committed to overcoming barriers to ensure our pupils can flourish academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
• Naturally uses a relational approach to both our students and our families.
