Combe Martin Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and committed Foundation Stage Practitioner (fixed term due to a temporary increase in workload) to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small coastal school where children are at the heart of everything we do, and where staff work closely together to ensure every pupil is supported to achieve their best.
The successful candidate will work within our Early Years provision, supporting pre-school children through high-quality, play-based learning experiences. You will contribute to a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment that supports children’s development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This will include supporting children’s communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, and early literacy and numeracy skills.
We are looking for someone who is patient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents. A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential for this role. Experience of working within an Early Years setting is desirable. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children are essential.
