This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to develop their career in Children's Social Care.
About the Role
Family Practitioners play a vital role within the Children & Families service, working alongside Social Workers to help keep children safely within their family networks wherever possible.

- Experience working in social care, particularly in multi-agency and court environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build effective professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Proficiency in IT skills
- Excellent recording and planning abilities
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a car (exceptions may apply under the Equality Act)
You will be expected to travel between visits and due to the size and rural nature of North & Mid Devon, it is an essential requirement of this role to have a full UK licence and access to your own reliable transport (subject to reasonable adjustments that may need to be made in line with the Equality Act 2010).
