Early Years Practitioner - Sara’s School Pre-School / Nursery

We have a position available at our pre-school / nursery with effect from January 2027 as an Early Years Practitioner to cover maternity leave for the Spring and Summer Terms 2027.
We are a small term time pack away Pre-School / nursery setting based in Tedburn St Mary Village Hall open for 38 weeks a year but we also do a Holiday Club for 7 weeks a year. We close 7 weeks a year to allow staff to take holiday.
Term time hours available are:
- Tuesdays – 7.15am to 3.45pm
- Wednesdays & Thursdays 8.30am to 6.00pm
Holiday Club hours available are:
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8.45am to 3.15pm
Essential Requirements:
- DBS certificate on the update service/ Clean criminal record
- Have a full and relevant (minimum) Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
- Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development
- A good working knowledge of the EYFS framework and the ability to support staff in using the framework
- Experience and knowledge of safeguarding practice
- Be a good team player who enjoys working as part of a small team
- Have the ability to use initiative and to create inspiring and creative activities
- Be positive, enthusiastic and enjoy working with children especially from 0 to 4 year olds
