Are you an ambitious, qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner looking to shape young minds in an environment where curiosity, child-led discovery, and "lightbulb" moments are celebrated daily? Do you want to bring your expertise to a supportive school that truly values its educators?
At Sherwell Valley Primary School, we believe the early years form the cornerstone of lifelong learning. We are seeking a dedicated, creative, and energetic Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our vibrant EYFS team.
This is an opportunity to become a key practitioner within our school community. As an Early Years Educator, you will:
- Design Inspiring Environments: Co-create, resource, and facilitate rich, enabling learning environments - both indoors and outdoors, that spark imagination, promote independent enquiry, and foster holistic development.
- Drive Early Milestones: Work collaboratively with experienced colleagues to deliver high-quality, targeted support across the EYFS curriculum, including communication and language, early literacy (phonics), and mathematics.
- Observe, Assess, and Plan: Utilize your expertise in child development to conduct meaningful formative assessments, track progress accurately, and plan tailored "next steps" to ensure every child reaches their potential.
- Champion Wellbeing and Inclusion: Act as a warm, reassuring Key Person, building strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and carers to support smooth transitions and emotional wellbeing.
- Lead and Innovate: Model outstanding early years practice, mentor team members, and actively engage in continuous professional development (CPD) to refine and expand your pedagogical skills.
- Thrive in a Nurturing Culture: Join a school with a proven reputation for valuing its staff, supporting work-life balance, and fostering long-term career progression.

In accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), all shortlisted candidates will be subject to child protection screening appropriate to the post.
