We have an exciting opportunity to join our Assessment and Intervention Service in North & Mid Devon within Children's Social Care, where you’ll make a meaningful impact of the lives of children and families. The key purpose of the role is to improve the outcomes for our most vulnerable young people and families in Devon to encourage positive change.
As a Team Manager within the Assessment and Intervention Service you will be passionate about relationship-based social work and you’ll support your team to continually develop their skills to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children, young people, and their families. Through reflective supervision with your team, you'll champion their personal and professional growth and support opportunities for reflection, learning and development. By building trusting and professional relationships you’ll make a positive difference to the children and families of Devon.

About You
As a Team Manager, your skills and experience will include:
- Experience working within social care, including working in a multi-agency environment
- Strong leadership and management skills; effectively leading teams, with the ability to develop and support individuals, promoting an environment of continuous improvement where everyone can achieve their potential
- The ability to build effective professional relationships with children, families, and other professionals, leading to successful outcomes for children
- A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
- Satisfactory completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
- A high-level of written and verbal communication skills*
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to children’s social work
- Exceptional recording and planning skills
- Ability to make difficult decisions
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a car*
