Devon County Council is seeking two enthusiastic and skilled people to join its Traffic Orders, Policy & Programme Team as Assistant Traffic Technicians.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a proactive and innovative team dealing with a wide variety of Highway and Traffic Management issues across Devon. Successful applicants will become involved in the design and implementation of schemes dealing with the management of On-Street Parking, Speed Limit issues, Traffic Calming and the design and installation of Traffic Signs and Road Markings.
You will have effective communication, problem solving and organisational skills, and be comfortable engaging with our customers, elected representatives, and stakeholders. You will be competent at using computer based systems including Microsoft Office.
The Assistant Traffic Technician role will be based at Great Moor House, Exeter with a minimum of two days in the office and will require occasional site work at locations around Devon.
