A secondment is available for an Assistant Engineer to manage and coordinate delivery of Devon’s Live Lab 2 project (Devon County Council: A382 (Including Jetty Marsh Link Road) - Carbon Negative Project | ADEPT), part of the ADEPT managed, DfT funded programme to decarbonise local roads (https://www.adeptnet.org.uk/livelabs2).
This project is a partnership between Devon County Council (DCC), M-Group and the University of Exeter and is about to enter the 4th and final year of the programme which has comprised £3M of DfT funding to decarbonise the A382 project. This final year is crucial to the project in terms of capturing learning and reporting. The role will be for 1 year and includes project management, coordination and management of the various DCC commissioned work packages, as well as working closely with project partners, M-Group and the University of Exeter, on the overall project delivery; carbon data collection and review, ensuring delivery of the required outputs by ADEPT, preparing reports, communications and presentations and monitoring and reporting on the overall project budget.
The role will report to the Live Labs project lead and sit within the A382 team in the Engineering Design Group based predominantly in the site offices in Newton Abbot.
