An exciting new opportunity for a Social Work Advanced Practitioner covering North Devon.
Are you a motivated and compassionate Social Work leader looking for a role where your skills can truly make an impact and difference?
We are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking Advanced Social Worker to provide professional and practice leadership across our Adult Social Care services in North Devon's vibrant towns, rural communities, and picturesque coastlines.
This role is central to delivering a Prevent, Reduce and Delay approach, supporting people to maximise independence, remain connected to their communities and avoid unnecessary escalation of need. There will be a focus on supporting the teams to strive for best practice and quality assurance.
As an Advanced Social Worker you will:
- Be part of the locality leadership team and work closely with the Principal Social Worker.
- Offer expert advice and guidance to the team, demonstrating strong legal literacy and a thorough understanding of statutory duties and social work legislation.
- Be skilled and competent when offering support in cases of high complexity and risk.
- Demonstrate confidence in working with students and newly qualified staff and those with identified gaps in learning.
- Offer creative solutions to improve practice and opportunities for reflective learning.
- Support individual and whole service Safeguarding work.
