Working alongside mentors, we have a small team of specialist, outreach teachers who offer targeted 1:1 teaching support across all Key Stages.  These teachers are experienced in working with pupils with complex social, emotional, behavioural and medical issues.  We aim to give the pupils optimum chance of progressing academically and emotionally so that they can achieve success within their school.  Teaching support can take place in the home, a local venue, our Exeter based Centre or within the school setting itself. We are expanding our Primary /Secondary Teaching Services in Devon and are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, committed individuals who have the qualities to work effectively with children and young people who can, at times, present with challenging behaviour and experience significant barriers to their learning. Empathy, perseverance, personal resilience and creativity are all essential qualities, alongside strong curriculum knowledge. The successful candidate should have experience of working with primary and/or secondary aged children and a good knowledge and understanding of social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
