Splitz are a registered charity based in Wiltshire but delivering services across the Southwest. As the commissioned service in Devon we support adults and young people who are or have recently experienced domestic abuse.

We are looking for two part time Community workers to work with Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities. This role is an exciting new development within our service and will suit someone with commitment and enthusiasm, who is keen to find effective ways to reduce and eliminate ethnic inequalities in the provision of service and in the outcomes achieved by victims of domestic abuse.  The role will need to cover the county of Devon, based in either our Exeter or Barnstaple office and you will be part of an experienced team providing high quality advice, guidance and support to victims of domestic violence enabling them to live safely.                             

You should have proven experience of working within community development preferably within the BAME communities and of support work, along with knowledge of domestic abuse issues. The ability to speak another language, particularly from Eastern Europe will be an advantage. You will also have excellent communication and networking skills.

You will also need to have access to a car, along with business use insurance cover.
