As a young person’s Core Worker, you will work on an individual basis with students aged between 4 and 25.
This role would suit somebody who may have worked as an HLTA. We encourage core workers to use their skills and passions to engage young people for example construction and mechanics, arts and crafts, land and animal based skills, physical activities and hobbies.
The successful candidate will need to be able to build a therapeutic alliance and work with children and young people to help them feel safe and secure and to reduce anxiety. They will also need to work with Teachers and our in-house therapeutic team in order to follow care plans, educational schemes of work and write reports. They will need to ensure the highest standards of professional practice and Safeguarding. Staff work one to one with students initially building up positive relationships then working at the pace of the individual. We ensure that no staff work outside of the contracted hours as we want staff to have a good work life balance.
