About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Workforce Development Co-ordinator within the People and Culture directorate at Devon County Council. This is a fantastic chance to be involved in providing a comprehensive and efficient administrative service to the Workforce Development Team in Integrated Adult Social Care.
This is a permanent role at 15 hours per week over a minimum of 3 days. Flexible working can be considered, including working school hours.
The Workforce Development Co-ordinator will provide administrative support for Workforce matters which will include:
- Meeting preparation, minute taking and follow up administrative support and ensuring meeting agendas and minutes are sent out at appropriate times so staff receive a high quality service.
- Play a key role in developing Workforce Development information materials and ensuring the web site is up to date and information is of a high quality.
- Provide co-ordination of key learning and development programs for professionals working in Integrated Adult Social Care.
- Provide co-ordination of student placement activity within Social Work and Occupational Therapy
- Provide co-ordination of the ASYE scheme and Preceptorship scheme for Newly Qualified Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.

About you
We are looking for an innovative, highly motivated person with strong communication and organisational skills to be part of our Workforce Development Team.
You will also need:
- Good interpersonal skills
- Accuracy with attention to detail
- Able work well as part of a Team as well as on own initiative
- Ability to work automatously in a Hybrid Working environment for a team that works countywide
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Experience in the use of Microsoft 365: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
