Are you ready to shape the future of our district? We're on the hunt for an experienced Validation Officer to join our high-performing Development Management team. This team of Planning Officers and Technical/Administrative Support Staff works hand-in-hand to ensure every development respects and enhances the unique qualities of our built and natural environment.
As one of our two Validation Officers, you'll be the first point of contact for new applications. Your responsibilities will include:
• Validating applications.
• Using GIS to plotting site extents and measure and calculate fees and Community Infrastructure Liabilities
• Checking planning constraints and identifying statutory consultees.
• Maintaining Biodiversity Net Gain register.
Your role will be pivotal in processing applications quickly and efficiently, helping the team achieve performance targets and drive excellence.

The successful candidate must have:
• A good standard of education including Maths and English GCSE.
• A planning related qualification and/or planning experience.
• Two years' technical or administrative experience with excellent IT skills.
• Experience of working with plans and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
• Good knowledge of planning legislation and use of GIS.
