Bidwell Brook School in Dartington, part of the Learn to Live Federation, is a Special School for children and young people aged 3 - 19 with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties. We have five Teaching Assistant vacancies to either start immediately or we can offer a September 2022 start.
You will support students as part of a class team. We offer a child centred curriculum and you will enable our students to access learning opportunities and to achieve their full potential both educationally and emotionally. You will help deliver pre-planned learning, care and therapy programmes in an inspiring learning environment.
Although previous experience of working with children in an educational setting is preferable, it is as important to be positive, have enthusiasm, empathy and a willingness to learn and follow instructions.
You will have excellent communication skills, be confident using IT, be flexible and resilient.
We have a variety of hours available ranging from one day per week (6 hours per week) to five days per week (30.67 hours per week).

This role requires a DBS disclosure.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
