Are you passionate about supporting children and their needs?
Are you looking to gain classroom experience as a Teaching Assistant?
Are you a good team player with a positive attitude who can inspire children to learn and believes all children can achieve?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for three enthusiastic, proactive people to join our friendly and supportive school, supporting children with additional needs.

You should have a good standard of general education with good numeracy and literacy skills. You will be able to communicate effectively with children and adults, have a flexible attitude, good sense of humour and be friendly and approachable.

Experience of working with children, and leading sessions in both 1-1 and with small groups of children, under the guidance of teachers, along with the ability to work flexibly using your own initiative are highly desirable attributes. However, this is not essential as we can provide full training and support to the right people. Please note, there may be a need in some roles to undertake intimate care.

All applications will be considered and although SEN experience would be an advantage, it is not essential.

Post 1 is for 27.5 hours per week (5 mornings and 5 afternoons), 38 weeks per annum and is temporary subject to the child’s continued attendance at the school and/or the result of any review of their special needs (anticipated to be until 31 August 2023). Please note that job share applications will also be welcomed.

Post 2 is for 16.5 hours per week (3 mornings and 3 afternoons), 38 weeks per annum and is temporary to cover maternity leave/subject to the child’s continued attendance at the school and/or the result of any review of their special needs.

Post 3 is for 19 hours per week (3 mornings and 4 afternoons), 38 weeks per annum and is temporary subject to the child’s continued attendance at the school and/or the result of any review of their special needs (anticipated to be until 31 August 2023).

These roles are likely to include a lunch time cover. However, in all these roles, there would be some flexibility for the right candidate which can be discussed at the interview.
