Stokeinteignhead Primary School is looking for two enthusiastic, talented, resilient and committed people to encourage, motivate and support children in school. Post 1: Teaching Assistant 1:1(SEN) - To support a pupil with Special Educational Needs. This is a Fixed term Contract for duration needs of the child while at our school.
Post 2: General Teaching Assistant - Fixed Term to the end of the Summer term 2024 due to a know increase in workload. You will be required to work predominantly in Key Stage 1, but may on occasions be required to work across all areas of the school as directed by the head of school.
You will work under direct supervision of the teacher to support access to learning. This may be by attending to the welfare and personal care of pupils; working with small groups or one to one; or helping with organisational / clerical support to the teacher.
You will need:
• To be calm but firm and enjoy working with children
• A minimum qualification at GCSE Maths and English.
• Experience of working in a classroom situation or a qualification as a Teaching Assistant
• Have good, courteous communication skills
