We have two opportunities at our Ipplepen Primary School for enthusiastic, talented, resilient and committed people to encourage, motivate and support two individual children in school. School work is rewarding and satisfying with no two days the same. You will ultimately be part of a team ensuring a safe and happy learning environment for all children.
Both Positions are Fixed Term, supporting additional needs of children, term time only, 38 weeks per year:
Post 1: Is supporting a child in KS2, for 20.5 hours per week, between 10am and 2pm each week day.
Post 2: Is to provide support for a child in KS1, 7 hours per week, between 8.50am to 12.20pm, two days per week. (Specific days to be agreed).
Anticipated start date 22nd April 2025, subject to satisfactory pre- employment checks.
As a Teaching Assistant you will need to be calm but firm and enjoy working with children, having a minimum qualification at GCSE Maths and English. Experience of working in a classroom situation or a qualification as a Teaching Assistant, NVQ2 or NVQ3 would be ideal. We are looking for someone who can continue to liaise and build relationships with parents and families and, therefore, good and courteous communication skills are a necessity. The curriculum work will be prepared by the teacher and as with all teaching assistant posts you may on occasions be required to work throughout all areas of the school.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
