We are seeking an ambitious teaching assistant to work one-to-one with a pupil with special educational needs as they move into Year 1. You will employ a variety of flexible and creative approaches to ensure the pupil’s needs are met.
You will provide personalised SEN support at a specialist level, implementing provision detailed in the child’s EHCP. The role is temporary subject to the child’s continued attendance at the school and/or the result of any review of their special needs. We expect the role to last for the next two years.
The hours will be for four half days per week (Tuesday to Friday, either 8.30am - 12pm or 12pm - 3.30pm).
This role would be an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference in a child’s schooling journey. A background in understanding and supporting children who have communication and physical needs would be desirable. However, training will be provided for you.
Visits to the school are welcome.
