The First Federation Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of 17 primary schools, is seeking to appoint, from September 2022, a Teaching Assistant to support a child with special educational needs at Newton Ferrers C of E Primary School. This post is fixed term linked to SEN support.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teachers, to support a child with special educational needs across all areas of the curriculum.

You will:
• Promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional wellbeing;
• Liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school;
• Show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion;
• Provide personal care for the child.

Experience of supporting children with special educational needs would be useful and experience/training in Makaton would be desirable but not essential.
