Marland is a successful all age (KS1-4) special school for students with Social, Emotional and/or Mental Health (SEMH) needs. It is located across four sites; Peters Marland, Barnstaple and Central Bideford and has just opened a new 'Secondary Day School' (Yr7-Yr11) in East of the Water, Bideford for 40 students. This post will be based at this new school site and commence September 2023.
We seek enthusiastic, caring and flexible individuals to join our committed and supportive team. The post involves supporting students, in and out of the classroom, so a willingness to work in a range of learning enviornments is essential and an interest in supporting the social, emotional and mental health needs of young people, are all essential for this post. You will need to be an effective communicator and have the adaptability to meet a wide variety of situations. Ideally, you will have experience of working with pupils with SEN, together with a sound knowledge of how to support children’s learning and record achievement and progress.
Training and ongoing professional development opportunities are offered to all staff, as are potential promotion opportunities due to the ongoing expansion of our popular schools.

This role requires a DBS disclosure.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
