About this role
The First Federation Trust, a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools across Devon and Dorset, are looking to recruit a temporary Teaching Assistant at Lady Seward's Primary School. Lady Seaward's is a small rural primary school set in the idyllic village of Clyst St George on the outskirts of Exeter, with easy access to the M5. The school provides a secure, nurturing and challenging learning environment with a family atmosphere, where the children come first and has an excellent partnership with parents/carers and the local community. We have a wonderful team of supportive staff in the school, too.
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work with SEND pupils in KS2 for 27.5 hours per week.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher across all areas of the curriculum.
- To deliver targeted interventions.
- To promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.
- To work under the direction of the class teacher and liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school.
- You will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion.
Desirable characteristics:
- experience in working with children with SEND and 1:1
- experience supporting intimate care
- experience supporting children with language delay and social communication difficulties
- experience supporting children with behavioural difficulties
This position is offered on a fixed term basis until 31st August 2026.
