Three days of the week (18 hours per week) will be as Teaching Assistant in the new Foundation Stage Unit that will open from September 2023, working alongside the Class Teacher providing support for the Early Years children. For this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification.
The remaining two days of the week will be as 1:1 support. These hours will be fixed term linked to EHCP funding for a specific support for a pupil with special educational needs in KS1.
There is also an opportunity, if wanted, for additional hours for the successful candidate to assist with the wrap around care in Breakfast and After School Club on a casual basis.

The successful candidate should have an awareness of the new EYFS Framework and have excellent communication and organisational skills to work with our team. The individual must be highly motivated and have a positive attitude to making a difference.

Ideally, you will:
• Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills;
• Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents;
• Have high expectations of children’s behaviour and be able to maintain consistent boundaries;
• Be willing to work as part of a team;
• Be able to use your own initiative when required;
• Have experience in a similar role in a school.
You should have a good knowledge of phonics plus literacy and numeracy to GCSE A-C or equivalent.
