Teaching Assistant: 30 hours per week Monday to Friday – term time only. Pay Scale: Grade C 4 - 6 FTE £21,189 – 21,968 (£14,272 – £14,796 pro rata)
Meal-time Assistant: 2.5 hour per week Monday to Friday – Term time only Pay Scale: Grade A1 FTE £20,258 (£10.50 per hour)
The Acorn Multi Academy Trust consists of seven schools; St Andrew’s CE Primary, Chardstock, Mrs Ethelston’s CE Primary, Uplyme, Axminster Community Primary, Membury Primary, Loders CE Primary, Marshwood CE Primary, Bridport and St Mary’s CE Primary Academy, Thorncombe.
The Trust is seeking to appoint highly committed Teaching Assistants with the drive and enthusiasm to support our pupils and class teachers at Axminster Community Primary. Directed by the Head of School, the role will involve helping our pupils to build confidence and overcome barriers to learning. Candidates must be able to work on their own initiative as well as work under the supervision of the class teacher.
The successful candidate will: -
- Provide direct practical support for learners to engage in all aspects of their programme
- Support teachers with the monitoring and delivery of interventions to a range of children, working with small groups, one to one or whole class support
- Work in a way that creates a positive, fun and engaging environment
- Have good interpersonal skills
- Be reliable and conscientious
- Be able to use initiative and be open to new ideas
