The Halberton & Uplowman Federation are looking for a well-motivated team player to carry out a Teaching Assistant & Mealtime Assistant roles within our Federation. We regard our TAs as very valuable members of our teaching team and there may also be opportunities to teach phonics groups so we would also be interested to hear from candidates familiar with delivering this kind of content, although training will be provided. We are looking for a person who is kind, empathetic, compassionate, is able to use their own initiative, and has a sense of humour as well as being enthusiastic, patient and caring. This role will also include some MTA cover and will be based at either Halberton or Uplowman Schools or a mixture of both.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This role requires a DBS disclosure. This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English. Interviews will include questions about safeguarding children and the successful candidate will have to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
