The Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of Science to deliver high quality lessons from September 2023. If you are an excellent classroom practitioner, who is flexible, dedicated and passionate about delivering exceptional learning experiences, then we want to hear from you.
This is an exciting time to be joining our Academy as we seek additional teachers to meet rapidly increasing student numbers. Our Science Faculty is of central importance to our Academy as we continue to strive to create an outstanding team, recently achieving Science STEM South West School of the year. This is an exciting time to join this dynamic and committed Faculty as we embed the new Science curriculum, with a dynamic team and 4 newly built Science Labs. Within the Academy two other recent capital projects costing in excess of £4 million pounds have just been completed. The Academy has recently undergone a superb transformation in September 2019 to facilitate students in years 7 to 11 across two sites.
The successful candidate should have Qualified Teacher Status and have an up-to-date knowledge of developments in Science. The post would equally suit an Early Career Teacher or experienced teacher.
The Academy provides high quality professional development opportunities at all stages of teacher development. These range from our extensive ECT programme through to Leadership progression opportunities within Paignton and across the Trust.
The Academy is situated in Torbay and is part of the beautiful English Riviera. It is within easy reach of stunning beaches with golden sands, rolling countryside and Dartmoor. It is also a short drive away via new South Devon link road which brings a host of benefits including easy access to the City of Exeter and its surrounding areas.
