Sidmouth College, recently judged in May 2022 by OFSTED to be a 'Good' school with outstanding features, is seeking to appoint a highly committed, talented, ambitious and motivated practitioner who can demonstrate a real passion for English. This post will be starting on 17th April 2023.
You will be required to teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. They will join a strong, happy, supportive and friendly department, all of whom are committed to making a difference to the lives of our students by raising standards, expectations and achievement. They will need to display a high standard of teaching and learning, be able to demonstrate excellent curriculum knowledge and have the ability to embrace future changes across the department. The successful candidate must be able to have the capacity and demonstrate a desire to work collaboratively across the Department and the College. Excellent curriculum knowledge is essential and the ability to teach the new GCSE English specification will be vital. The ability to teach to A Level would be an advantage.
This post would suit an NQT or a more experienced teacher.
