South Molton Community College has an excellent team of dedicated and talented staff. It has been graded good under the new Ofsted framework in 2019.
‘The school has a strong ethos of respect and tolerance. Pupils are clear about the need to treat everyone equally. High levels of appreciation of others are evident across the school. Pupils want to learn, and they work hard in lessons. Staff have high expectations of pupils’ behaviour, and low-level disruption is rare. Teachers establish clear routines in lessons.’ Ofsted December 2019
In April 2017, we moved into a new school. The school is growing in popularity and this growth is likely to continue. We also believe passionately in providing a well-rounded education to our students both in and out of the classroom and are committed to supporting our staff.
Required to start in January 2023, or as soon as possible thereafter. The school is looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative Teacher of Computer Science who can teach to GCSE and/or BTEC level 2 equivalent. The ability to teach another subject such as Maths would be advantageous. Most importantly, however, we seek to appoint a great teacher who is able to motivate and enthuse students, someone who can convey a passion for the study of Computer Science. We are keen to provide professional development opportunities and we are receptive to new ideas.
A TLR payment is available for a suitably qualified individual who is prepared to lead the department.
