Sidmouth College has a vacancy for a Teacher of Computer Science to start in June 2023. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting a key role in Sidmouth College. We require a highly committed and motivated practitioner who can ensure that the Computer Science Department will continue to grow from strength to strength. You will have a high standard of teaching and learning and have the ability to think strategically and creatively and work collaboratively across the Department and the College.
Excellent KS3 curriculum knowledge in Computer Science is vital. In particular, a deep understanding of:
• Computer Science theory (particularly ‘Hardware’, ‘Networking’ & ‘Data Representation’);
• HTML / CSS / JavaScript;
• Coding abilities in Python and Scratch; is essential.
Excellent curriculum knowledge at Key Stage 4 is also essential along with the ability to teach Computer Science at A Level.
This post will be commencing in June 2023 which would suit an experienced teacher of Computer Science or a NQT.
