Southbrook is a successful, oversubscribed special school for pupils age 11-16 with complex needs. All our young people have social, emotional, and communication difficulties. Many have moderate learning difficulties, autistic spectrum conditions and physical/sensory impairments. A small number also have severe learning difficulties.
The Governors of Southbrook School are seeking to appoint a highly skilled teacher who is enthusiastic, flexible and creative with an interest in, or previous experience in supporting pupils with SEND.
We wish to appoint a class teacher and Middle Leader for Preparing for Adulthood to provide dedicated support to pupils, families and staff and ensure that every young person is as prepared for a successful transition into the next stage after Southbrook. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Leaders to plan and deliver a personalised and accessible PfA curriculum that offers current, ambitious and accessible opportunities to support our pupils in their next steps.

This role requires a DBS disclosure.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
