Reaching for Independence North is a service which provides enabling support for individuals.  We currently have 1 permanent fulltime vacancy for a support worker.

We are seeking to appoint a creative, committed and motivated person to work within our building base and in the community. 

Previous experience is not essential, as full training will be given.  What we desire is your enthusiasm, energy, local knowledge and commitment to really open up people’s lives.

Working as part of the North Devon team we will require you to support individuals to take part in activities within the centre or in the community.  This will involve developing skills to increase a person’s independence, for them to be able to achieve their full potential, this could include life skills, cooking, travel training, exploring skills for employment as well as activities such as reminiscence, gardening and music etc.

You will need to be able to work as part of a team, be an effective communicator and be able to work in a person-centred way with people.  This role will also involve personal care and an element of lone working.
